"Booking Jillian for our elopement was easily the best decision we made. From the very first conversation she was warm, responsive, and genuinely excited to capture exactly what we envisioned.

On the day she was calm and kind, magically putting two very camera-shy people at ease—offering gentle direction when we needed it and stepping back to let the real moments unfold. The photos are breathtaking: soft light, rich colors, dreamy film, every laugh and every ounce of love perfectly preserved. We’ve never loved pictures of ourselves more.

Jill, thank you for driving three hours to the middle of nowhere and freezing your butt off to give us these memories. If you want timeless, emotional images and the most stress-free experience possible, hire her yesterday. She’s pure magic."

Emotion-forward offerings

Weddings move fast. My job is to slow them down. I work in both 35mm film and digital formats to document the essential, the in-between, the unexpected, and the real. For couples focused on remembering the day in motion, I offer Super 8 film videography. This format isn’t for content, but for memory. Every gallery and film is made with intention and shaped by feel, by light and by you; not a formula.

Working in film and Super 8

Wedding documentation

The Curator of Eyes

|

Jillian Dubois

I am a New England-based wedding photographer working in both 35mm film and digital formats. My background is in fine art, a lifelong obsession with image-making, and a natural instinct to observe rather than direct. These all shape my approach. I photograph weddings the way a curator studies light in a gallery. Not with haste, but with reverence. What makes me different is what makes me right for the couples who hire me. I see things quietly. I wait. I notice. And in doing so, I deliver galleries that feel lived in, vivid, and emotionally true. I deliver you, truly.

My work is built on the belief that a wedding should not need to be staged to be remembered. Real love already holds weight. It does not need glitter or performance to shine. This is why I work purposefully and with intention. I use film and Super 8 formats to create work that holds onto what matters and let go of what doesn’t.

I do not chase performative perfection. In fact, I avoid it. Staged masks emotion. It erases breath, silence, and truth. My work honors the softness, light and shadow, the pause before impact, the heart in stillness. It is imperfect in the way life is imperfect, which is exactly why it feels so personal.

"Jill did both my engagement photos and my wedding photos and it was such an amazing experience. First, for the engagement photos, I was so scared that my husband and I would be shy and awkward, but she made us feel so comfortable and gave us directions the entire time. Same with our wedding.

She made sure I got all the shots I wanted. My gallery is amazing, I have hundreds of beautiful pictures and I wouldn’t change a thing!"
